Double date: "Black Panther" at AMC Magic Johnson Harlem + Black Panther "Wacombo Mea

Black Panther is finally here! Already getting rave reviews for, well, everything, the epic stars Chadwick Boseman as the panther mask-wearing superhero who fights evil in the high-tech (fictional) African nation of Wakanda.

With its stellar majority-black cast and powerful portrayal of T'Challa, the African king battling his nemesis, Erik Killmonger (played by Michael B. Jordan), the movie is already on its way to breaking box-office records.

And there might not be a more fun place to see it than at the Magic Johnson theater on 125th Street in Harlem, where you can reserve your seat at any of the showtimes (tomorrow, Saturday, February 17, there are 21 standard and seven 3D screenings) and get into the Black Panther spirit nearby.

A short walk away is retro diner Harlem Shake, which is offering a special Black Panther "Wacombo Meal" until the end of the month (and possibly longer). On the menu: a patty melt on black rye, black potato fries and your choice of black beer (Smoke & Dagger porter) or a black chocolate float (the restaurant's shakes and floats are made with Blue Marble ice cream and are extremely delicious). And there's already been a review!

P.S. If you're a die-hard comics fan, take some time to stop by Harlem's Schomburg Shop (closed Sundays), which currently carries the latest Black Panther series written by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
