• Barrier-breaking fashion legend André Leon Talley was at the Schomburg Center on Tuesday night to attend a screening of The Gospel According to André, filmmaker Kate Novack's new documentary about his life. According to a profile in the New York Times, Harlem designer Dapper Dan made the reversible caftan Talley has been wearing to all his film-related appearances: "Mr. Talley chose the fabric, a reversible Gucci gold and crimson Chinese brocade covered in leaping tigers. It took three fittings to get the final robe right." [NY Times]
