It's going to be a fun summer in North Riverside Park.
From a brand new outdoor gym to movies on the waterfront, there's lots to see and do this season in the park from 120th to 181st Streets.
The latest features and programming are the results of the Riverside Park Conservancy's North Park Initiative, first launched in 2009 to bring upgrades to the park's upper section, an area that had seen years of disinvestment.
Here are some highlights to keep you coming back this summer:
Summer on the Hudson in North Riverside & Fort Washington Parks
• Jazz in the Park at Ralph Ellison Sundays in May at 2pm, Ralph Ellison Island at 150th St
• Everybody Tango! Wednesdays in June & July 6:30pm-8:30pm, Pier at 125th and Marginal Sts
• Sunset Yoga Thursdays from June-Sept at 6:30pm, 145th St Lawn
• Jazz Foundation Presents: Sunset Sounds Friday, June 14 & Saturday, June 22 at 7pm, 125th and Marginal Sts
• Harlem Moves with Limón Dance Company Fridays June 21, July 19 & August 16 at 6pm, 125th and Marginal Sts
• Birding Walks Saturday, June 1 at 9am, meet at 157th St and Broadway
• World Fish Migration Day Saturday, June 1 1:30pm-3:30pm, Fort Washington Park at 172nd St Beach
• Movies on the Waterfront Aug 8, 15, 22 & 29 at 8pm, 145th St Lawn

This new seasonal concession at the bottom of Riverside Park's 151st Street entrance includes international food, drinks, games, and live music. The grand opening is Memorial Day Weekend.
