Four years after closing its location on 116th Street due to rising rents, beloved Harlem bakery Make My Cake has reopened on 125th Street.

The store is right next door to I Like It Black, a coffee shop that Make My Cake owner Aliyyah Baylor debuted earlier this year, highlighting Black and Brown-owned coffee roasters.

The two spots share the same address—409 W 125th Street near Morningside Ave—as well as an inner doorway.

The Harlem dessert institution, which first opened 25 years ago, has two other locations, one on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and 139th Street (it was recently renamed Ma Smith's Dessert Cafe) and another on Columbus Avenue and 97th Street on the Upper West Side.

The newest location on 125th Street features all the Southern-style desserts the bakery is famous for, including whole and by-the-slice cakes and cupcakes in flavors such as red velvet, coconut, and strawberry layer.

But now you can also grab a cup of super strong cold brew right next door.
