The Black Comic Book Festival returns to the Schomburg Center in Harlem for its 12th edition.
The annual meetup for illustrators, animators, writers, indie publishers and fans will run for two days: Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
Scheduled are panel discussions, workshops, cosplay presentations, plus a spotlight on work from across the diaspora.
Highlights include the class How to Draw Black Superheroes & Comics, the Black Comics Trivia Challenge, and the SchomCom Marketplace, featuring everything from comic books to nonfiction.
The festival ends with A Very Black Cosplay Showcase on Saturday at 5:30pm. Those interested in joining the show can sign up at the Schomburg on the same day from 1pm-5pm.
