The 12th annual Harlem Restaurant Week is here, featuring a mix of dining deals at more than 60 participating bars and restaurants.
The two-week event, with specials from $10 to $35, runs across Central, East and West Harlem until November 21.
Restaurants both classic and new are participating this time around, including chef Marcus Samuelsson's Red Rooster (the $25 lunch special comes with pan-fried catfish with cornbread, black-eyed peas and cucumber-pickled onion salad) and the four-month-old Bar Goyana in East Harlem ($25 gets you a bowl of the Brazilian black-bean-and-pork stew known as feijoada and a serving of Mojo mousse for dessert).
The under-$10 category has hidden gems like the One Stop Patty Shop in West Harlem, offering two Jamaican beef, chicken or veggie patties for $5.50 or $6, depending on the order.
