Thanksgiving is firmly behind us, and like clockwork Christmas tree vendors are popping up all over the city.
In Upper Manhattan, you're likely to find one every 10 blocks or so thanks to the hard-working folks at Uptown Christmas Trees from Gopher Broke Farm—their tree stands are open 24 hours a day.
Other popular sellers in the area include the recently relocated Urban Garden Center under the tracks in East Harlem and the tree vendor that returns every year to the corner of 145th Street and Broadway.
The starting price for trees is about $60 for a balsam fir (Uptown Christmas Trees is out of Fraser firs this year, according to an employee who spoke to us on the phone), while an eight-footer will set you back between $200-$250.
For those on a budget, there are also Charlie Brown trees.
Here's a roundup of the top locations open right now, from south to north.
