Harlem has its fair share of fast food spots selling burgers and fried chicken, but it's never been home to a health-minded salad chain—until now.
Just Salad, a fast-casual concept with 50 U.S. locations including 25 in New York, has opened its first outpost in Harlem at 56 W 125th Street near Lenox Avenue.
The restaurant occupies the ground floor of a new rental and retail building where boutique spin studio Harlem Cycle also recently debuted its second location.
The chain's menu includes freshly-prepared salads (there are pre-designed vegan, gluten-free and keto options, or you can build your own), plus warm bowls, wraps and soups.
To "break the cycle of waste," Just Salad also has its own reusable bowl program. Customers can buy the chain's signature blue reusable bowl for $1 at any location, and use it again in-store to receive one free topping.
