Harlem has plenty of fast-food chains, but most offer the usual assortment of hamburgers and fried chicken.
That's all about to change.
According to signs recently posted in the windows, fast casual restaurant Just Salad will be opening at 54-62 W 125th Street near Lenox Avenue.
It will be the first big salad chain to arrive in Harlem.
Even better for health-minded locals, Just Salad's next-door neighbor will be the second branch of boutique cycling studio Harlem Cycle, which will be opening this year according to information posted on its website.
The New York-based salad chain, with 23 locations in Manhattan (but none higher than 83rd Street), lists is mission as "to make everyday health and everyday sustainability."
Its menu features a mix of seasonal and year-round salads that can be ordered in a reusable bowl, plus warm bowls, wraps and even avocado toast.
The doors will open "sometime in the spring," said a person running its Instagram account.
