The reconstruction of the waterfront path in Fort Washington Park is now complete.

Damaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and closed for repairs since last fall, the pedestrian and bike path that runs between 168th and 169th Streets is finally back—and better than ever.

Large new protective stones line the shore and freshly-planted trees frame the repaved path, which also features new benches.

It's the perfect place to stop and admire the breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge beyond.

To get there: Head to W 181st Street and Riverside Drive or W 158th Street and Riverside Drive West and follow the signs for the Hudson River Greenway.
