A new outdoor shopping event from the Uptown Night Market team is kicking off in Harlem this week.
The Harlem Bazaar, a mix of vendors selling arts and crafts, fashion, accessories, beauty products and more, will debut in the State Office Building Plaza this Friday, June 17 from 2pm-8pm, returning every third Friday of the month through October.
The event is taking place in the heart of Harlem: the corner of 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard (take the 2 or 3 train to 125th St). Entrance is free.
Participating vendors include Black N Ugly, Inperfect Denim, Harlem's Heaven Hats, and King Beard Care, to name just a few.
Food stalls such as Perros Locos, Treat Yourself Jerk and C Bao Buns will round things off.
The organizers came up with the idea for the bazaar during the pandemic when they saw an increase of more than 600% in non-food applications to their NYC events, according to the event's site.
