Uptown links: Charles Pan Fried Chicken in Harlem is expanding into a citywide chain, and more

• Charles Gabriel of Charles Pan Fried Chicken has teamed up with investors to turn his iconic fried chicken restaurant in Harlem into a citywide chain. Locations will include a new uptown address at Edgecombe Avenue and 145th Street as well as others on the Upper West Side and in Brooklyn. [Grub Street]

• Construction will finally begin this spring on a new pool and rink facility coming to Harlem Meer in Central Park, including a fancy boardwalk along the lake that will double as a skating ribbon in the winter. [Patch]
